The Lord Of The Rings has had many games over the years but I can almost guarantee you’ve slept on one of the best ones.
Forget the journeys, the epic battles, the hunt for Gollum, the real Lord Of The Rings adventure is you and your mates digging for treasure as dwarves.
The Lord Of The Rings: Return To Moria lets you do just that as it’s a game all about reclaiming the dwarven homeland and seeing what lurks beneath the stone and dirt.
Playing alone or with friends, you’ll build yourself a base, equip yourselves with the right tools for the job and go plundering.

If that sounds like your cup of tea or if you’ve already played it and would consider yourself a fan, you’re in luck as the game is finally getting its first major expansion.

Durin’s Folk
Titled Durin’s Folk you can catch a trailer for the new DLC on YouTube. Unfortunately, it’s only brief but it does confirm the DLC is dropping this November, which is a pleasant surprise.

Apparently, the expansion will add a new story chapter to the game, as well as NPCs that can be found within the mines. During your adventuring, you can stumble upon some of these NPCs and save them from peril before recruiting them to your cause.
This is an ideal add-on for those who primarily play in single-player as it’ll give you a few helping hands to make life just a little bit easier.
Additionally, the update will also be adding some new end-game content such as changes to the economy, as well as a few new areas to explore, so all in all it’s shaping up to be a great DLC for Lord Of The Rings fans.
The Lord Of The Rings Return To Moria: Durin’s Folk will not be a free DLC expansion. You will have to pay for it and at the time of writing a price hasn’t been shared, but you can wishlist the game for updates nearer to its launch.

You can play The Lord Of The Rings: Return To Moria on either PC via Steam, Xbox, and PlayStation and it’s definitely one to try if you’re a fan of the series, or multiplayer games in general.
God knows it’s better than that Gollum game that launched a couple of years ago… Hopefully the new live-action film will be better.
