LEGO Dungeons & Dragons officially announced, and it's glorious

LEGO has officially announced a Dungeons & Dragons collaboration, and it's glorious.

It is finally here! LEGO and Dungeons & Dragons have come together to release an incredible, albeit expensive, new set which combines all the best bits from the tabletop adventure.

Dungeons & Dragons’ first official LEGO set, known as the Red Dragon’s Tale, is finally here and fans of the long-running tabletop adventure game are eager to get their hands on it. Created to celebrate the game’s 50th anniversary, the LEGO set will also be released alongside a one-shot adventure on 6 April.

Check out the LEGO Lord of the Rings trailer below!

The one-shot, titled “the LEGO Ideas Dungeons & Dragons Epic Game Night stream” will air on the official LEGO YouTube channel and will also feature the winner of the design contest, Lucas “Boltbuildz” Bolt. Bolt came up with the Dungeons & Dragons’ inspired build and worked with LEGO to bring it to life.

The set itself creates a fantasy-inspired inn, towered by a crumbling tower which is currently home to a perching fire-coloured dragon. As with any LEGO set, the attention is in the detail and the inn will be framed by traps, treasures and a spattering of well-known monsters including a Beholder.

Inside, you will find the adventure party of five and the innkeeper that is putting up with their every whim as they drink the night away. In the enchanted forest surrounding the inn, you will find an owlbear sitting below the building’s parapet.

With such an epic collaboration and LEGO liking money, this Dungeons & Dragons inspired set will set you back $350. Although it is costly, it is the perfect set for fans of the TTRPG. Even if you can’t get hold of it, you should check out the one-shot adventure airing this April to get a look at the adventures to be had in the Inn Plain Sight.

In related news, LEGO Mario Kart was officially announced earlier this month and will be hitting shelves in 2025.
