Jackass star Bam Margera, real name Brandon Cole, was arrested for public intoxication on Wednesday 29 March in Burbank, California, after reportedly causing a scene outside of a restaurant where his estranged wife and five-year-old son were dining.

As reported by TMZ (Via ComicBook), police were called to the restaurant shortly after 3.45PM after receiving a call about a public disturbance. Margera was allegedly shouting at a woman inside the Thai food restaurant. TMZ added that police described Margera as “unable to take care of himself.” The Jackass star was arrested and booked for misdemeanor public intoxication.

A video of the altercation was posted on social media that same day. In the video, you can see Margera talking to police while sitting outside of the restaurant on the curb. It’s clear that he’s upset and in distress. Although witnesses claim that Margera’s estranged wife Nicole Boyd and the ex-couple’s son Phoenix were inside the restaurant, it’s not known if they were involved in the incident.

It’s not the first time that Margera has been arrested this month. On 2 March, the 43-year-old faced charges of domestic violence after he was arrested by police in San Diego County. Margera allegedly kicked a woman at a home in the Escondido area. He was later booked into the Vista Detention Facility for corporal injury on a current or former spouse, cohabitant, dating partner or fellow parent. He was released on 3 March after posting a $50,000 bail.

Nicole Boyd filed for divorce from Margera in September 2021 citing irreconcilable differences as the reason why. Since then, Margera has undergone several rehab stints. Former Jackass co-star Steve-O has gone on record to urge the star to seek help. He wrote on Instagram, “You say you want to have a relationship with your son, but your actions guarantee the exact opposite will happen.”

A spokesperson for Margera is yet to comment on the latest arrest.
