Johnny Depp has slipped back into character as Captain Jack Sparrow for the first time in the years, to the immense delight of fans around the world.
The Pirates Of The Caribbean star hasn't played the infamous pirate on screen since 2018, but recently - and briefly - reprised the role on the spot for a fan.
The interaction was shared on TikTok, where it swiftly blew up. You can check it out below.
While the vast majority of comments are praising Depp for so effortlessly diving back into character at a moment's notice and taking the time to make a fan's day, others attempted to argue it wasn't actually Depp. Why? Because he's not currently rocking facial hair. Yes, the internet is a deeply strange place.

Back in April this year Depp claimed he was finished with Pirates Of The Caribbean. During his well-documented legal battle against ex-wife Amber Heard, the actor stated that there was nothing that could get him to go back to Disney's nautical franchise.
But while Depp might be done playing the pirate in an official capacity, it's clear that he's still happy to tap into his inner Jack Sparrow for the fans and release a touch of the old magic.
