We’re just one month away from the release of Hogwarts Legacy which, as I’m sure you’re aware, is a game that’s proving to be very controversial. In recent years, many Wizarding World fans have been left feeling alienated by franchise creator JK Rowling’s transphobic comments leading many to boycott the game. That’s not all though. Some fans are also less than impressed with the amount of PlayStation-exclusive content.
Despite the controversy, Hogwarts Legacy is already 2023’s best-selling PlayStation 5 game due to the sheer number of pre-orders. Strangely though, it’s not topping the Xbox charts. As mentioned, Hogwarts Legacy includes plenty of PlayStation-exclusive content, and it certainly appears as if that may be pulling in those extra pre-orders.
Take a look at the PlayStation-exclusive 'The Haunted Hogsmeade Shop' quest below.
Last year, Sony unveiled ‘The Haunted Hogsmeade Shop’ during a State of Play showcase. The PlayStation-exclusive quest actually looks pretty creepy and will see players venture into the mannequin-filled basement of Madam Mason’s run-down shop. It’s available to all PlayStation players who will also get access to the Shopkeeper’s Cosmetic Set, an extra in-game Hogsmeade shop and an additional dungeon.

Regardless of whether you opt for the standard or deluxe edition of the game, PlayStation pre-orders of Hogwarts Legacy will also contain access to the Felix Felicis potion recipe. This could prove to be useful as fans will know that the potion can provide you with luck.
It’s worth pointing out that ‘The Haunted Hogsmeade Shop’ is a timed PlayStation exclusive. The quest will be released to PC, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch players on 10 February 2024. Will players still be interested one year on though? There’s no word on whether non-PlayStation players will eventually be able to unlock the Felix Felicis potion.
