When a game has been out for a while, you’d think you’ve seen everything there is to see, especially if you trawl the pages of Reddit, but one player has discovered a magical little secret.

Hogwarts Legacy is filled with nice little touches, special moments for Harry Potter fans, and nods to both the legacy of the films and the books.

Of course, there are all the flashy spells to sling around, and the epic moments of gliding through the air on a griffon, but sometimes it’s the little things that impress, because it means a developer thought hard about how to build out the world.

So, over on Reddit, one player has uploaded a clip showing them discovering a neat action that is certainly smile-inducing.

User darius_kingston314q notes, this is “just a silly thing” and shows their player using the spell wingardium leviosa to levitate a ball of rubbish and deposit it into a nearby bin.

Sure, it’s not a lore-dripping detail, or the discovery of a hidden room in Hogarts, but it’s still a delightful detail that shows why human creators are still needed in games, because they knew this would make someone smile.

Other Hogwarts Legacy players were impressed by the attention to detail, with one saying, “That's such a neat little detail.”

“Huh. I didn’t realize we could do that. I do like that little burp it does,” says another fan, referring to the bin that lets out a burp on gulping down the trash.

With plenty of other little interactions found throughout the game, it goes to show that if you just wander about, soaking up the world, you can find even more things to round out the Hogwarts experience.

We’re sure even more of these wonderful moments will appear in the awaited sequel which is to come soon.
