Hogwarts Legacy Halloween DLC Leaving Players 'Traumatized'

The best quest in the game

Hogwarts Legacy players are still being traumatised by the game’s scariest quest, which is a great one to play this Halloween if you haven’t already.

There’s bound to be a big influx of players for Hogwarts Legacy ever since the game was added to Xbox Game Pass. I’d get your fill as soon as possible too before the price of your subscription gets raised next time it expires.

It’s the most successful Harry Potter game to date and has set some big expectations for Hogwarts Legacy 2.

While the game has plenty of side quests to get stuck into one in particular shines brighter than all the rest, ironic as it takes place in the dark.

The Haunted Hogsmeade quest was originally a PlayStation-exclusive which caused quite a stir amongst players. Later in the game’s life the quest was made available for all platforms, and new players starting the game with Xbox Game Pass are in for a treat, or trick.

One player, though we can’t confirm they’re playing on Xbox, found said quest and has been “traumatised” by its contents.

Reddit user gaelthegal made a post that said “I didn’t know that Hogwarts Legacy has a horror side quest and i’m traumatized.”

They went on to say “So, there’s a side quest in Hogsmeade where you can buy a shop. I thought it would be a light mission, no problem. But then I found a chest that I thought had a free item in it. Turns out, it was a trigger for a horror side quest. I have a phobia of mannequins and statues, so I ended up asking my partner for help … And we played this side quest at night, too!”

It’s a very entertaining quest, which made it all the more frustrating that only PlayStation users could access it for a while.

Other Hogwarts Legacy players shared their own experiences with the quest, like one that said “Yeah that's most people’s reaction I think.... It scared the living hell outta me especially because I'm scared of things moving when they aren't supposed to. So welcome to the traumatized club.”

The Haunted Hogsmeade quest is arguably the best side-content in the game, so if you’re a new player be sure to check it out, especially with Halloween right around the corner.
