Hogwarts Legacy may have been the best-selling game of 2023 but its lack of support since its launch has left many fans feeling disappointed.
With the game being inspired by the Harry Potter universe, it is no wonder it sold so well when it was first released back in February of 2023.
Allowing long-term fans to finally become a Hogwarts student was unparalleled and many expected Hogwarts Legacy to offer everything that a Harry Potter fan could ever want and need.
However, following the launch of the game, Avalanche Software and Warner Bros. soon turned their attention to the future and, as a result, Hogwarts Legacy was left in the dust.

With plans to work on Hogwarts Legacy 2, Hogwarts Legacy is still pretty much stuck in its launch state with fans having to rely on mods to gain access to brand-new content.
As a result, said fans have been coming together to reminisce about some of the interesting DLC they could have received and that includes one dedicated to the Ministry of Magic.
“Missed DLC opportunity,” one user recently shared over on r/HarryPotterGame.
They begin by claiming it is “a shame” that Hogwarts Legacy did not have any post-launch content as this DLC idea is something they would have loved to see.

“Your character would do an "externship" within the Ministry of Magic and do missions/observations of different Ministry departments and officials - with the plot revolving around a mystery or something of the sorts,” they explained.
“We'd of course have a room at the Leaky Cauldron with a fully explorable Diagon/Knockturn Alley and floo powder checkpoints to go back and forth from the Ministry and Diagon.”
They go on to say that Avalanche Software did such a “good job” recreating familiar Harry Potter locations and so these areas would have been interesting to explore.
It seems as though the original user is not the only one to think this as other fans soon descended onto the comments with their support.

“That would have been way better than listening to a bunch of paintings give you 'tests' to prove yourself. LOL,” one user commented.
However, user Extortion187 believes that all of this and more will be featured in the sequel.
“I assume they are saving these spots to give reasons for folks to buy Hogwarts Legacy 2 when it comes out,” they pointed out.
“Diagon Alley, Knockturn Alley, the ministry, maybe explore Gringotts more, Kings Cross, maybe a mission to explore another school like Beauxbatons? Pipe dream but allow me to play Quidditch?”

Hogwarts Legacy 2 is still a long way away but fans hope that Avalanche Software and Warner Bros. will have made big improvements to the first game in the much-loved series.
