There it is. At long last, the Collector’s Edition of Hogwarts Legacy has been revealed, and it looks like fans are definitely going to want to get in on this one. An unboxing of the various goodies included has just been showcased on the Hogwarts Legacy YouTube channel by Avalanche Software’s Community Manager, Chandler Wood, and there’s plenty to be excited about.

Take a look at the Collector’s Edition in all its glory right here.

So, first of all, we have all the bonuses from the Deluxe Edition - the digital Dark Arts Pack, which includes the Thestral Mount (which Wood notes is the only way to ride a Thestral in the game), Dark Arts Cosmetic Set, and the Dark Arts Battle Arena, as well as the Dark Arts Garrison Hat. And yes, Collector’s Edition owners will also get 72 hours early access to the game, as well as an exclusive in-game Kelpie Robe.

Onto the physical goodies then - as well as a swanky steelbook case featuring the Hogwarts insignia, the real star of the show is the life size ancient magic book (which looks to be a plastic replica, rather than a paper book with pages) and a wand - the latter of which floats mysteriously above the book. Magic! You will need to plug the book in for that to work, mind you. A physical copy of the game will also be included.

Pre-orders for the game are going live tomorrow, 25 August, at 8AM Pacific Time (that’s 4PM for UK readers) - don’t miss out. The Collector’s Edition is set to cost a rather hefty $300 on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S, so just be aware of that.
