007 First Light developer IO Interactive has announced a remastered collection of several classic Hitman games, in collaboration with Saber Interactive.
Last month, IO Interactive released 007 First Light, which has gone on to sell 3 million copies within its first two weeks of sale and has become the company’s most successful launch.
The company first found success with the Hitman series, releasing eight games over the last 25 years, with lots of praise and acclaim, particularly coming from fans of stealth and action games.
While there’s no news of Hitman 4 coming any time soon, especially as the developer prepares post-launch DLC for 007 First Light, a remastered collection of the first three Hitman games is confirmed to be coming soon.

As revealed over the weekend during the IOI Showcase, Saber Interactive revealed Hitman Classic Trilogy Remastered.
The collection brings together Hitman: Codename 47, Hitman 2: Silent Assassin, and Hitman: Contracts under one collection, with “enhanced visuals, an instant graphics toggle, Photo Mode, and more” being added.
It’s best comparable with Saber’s earlier remaster efforts with the Tomb Raider series, where it, along with Aspyr, remastered the first six games in the series as two different collections.
The new graphics include upgraded character models, enhanced environments, and high-resolution textures. It should allow the games to look a little more consistent with each other, as the level of detail within each game varies quite dramatically.
And with the ability to toggle between the new visuals and the classic graphics, it will be a good one for fans of the series to get a healthy dose of nostalgia while also enjoying something that feels wholly new.
Hitman 2: Silent Assassin and Hitman: Contracts were fan favourites of the PS2 and Xbox era, but Hitman: Codename 47 never made it to any platforms outside of PC, so it’ll also be great for fans to experience the original game with full native controller support for the first time.

However, there does remain a big elephant in the room that needs addressing: where’s Blood Money?
While the original three Hitman games are stone-cold classics, fans of the franchise often refer to Hitman: Blood Money as the best one. Its absence in the collection is a little sore, but it’s possible Saber could be saving this for a future remaster.
Hitman: Blood Money was ported to mobile in 2023 (and later Nintendo Switch), under the title Hitman: Blood Money Reprisal, which introduced features from later games in the series, such as a minimap, Instinct Mode, and modern controls.
It's possible that a future collection could include Hitman: Blood Money and Hitman: Absolution, the latter of which has seen a few re-releases over the years, most recently on Nintendo Switch in 2025.
Hitman Classic Trilogy Remastered is due for release in 2027 on PC via Steam, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S.
