HBO’s The Last of Us series has drummed up more hype than any of us could ever have imagined and I’m loving every second of it. If I’m not watching the show, I’m probably talking or writing about and yet, I’m still craving more. I’m sure I’m not the only one who’s being slowly drawn towards embarking on yet another playthrough of the game.

Last year, Naughty Dog released The Last of Us Part I, a new-gen remake of their 2013 classic. In our review, we wrote, “The Last of Us Part I wholly improves on its predecessor, creating a game that is as detailed, thorough, and immersive as is possible [...] Fans will find no better way to experience this story, and first-time players are likely to discover a new all-time favourite.” Still, many questioned if The Last of Us truly required a remake but seeing how much demand there is for the game now, I’m going to say that Naughty Dog knew exactly what they were doing.

Excited for episode two of the show? Take a look at this brand new teaser trailer for the rest of the season.

As reported by TwistedVoxel, sales for The Last of Us Remastered, The Last of Us Part II, and The Last of Us Part I have reportedly seen a massive boost since following the TV show’s series premiere. At online retailer Amazon, The Last Of Us Part II is currently topping the PlayStation 4 sales charts, with The Last of Us Remastered sitting in third position. This puts both games ahead of the upcoming Hogwarts Legacy.

The Last of Us Part I hasn’t seen quite as a big of a boost but it is the priciest option. It is sitting at 21 on Amazon’s PlayStation 5 chart, which still puts it ahead of upcoming games like Star Wars Jedi: Survivor Deluxe, Final Fantasy XVI and Atomic Heart. If you’re a PlayStation Plus Premium subscriber, you can currently check out a two-hour free trial of Part I.

If you’re already familiar with the game, that’s enough time to work through the Left Behind DLC. Please don’t do that if this is your first time though. Left Behind is designed to be played post-game. I just know that I’ll be diving into a replay this weekend. I can’t fight the call much longer.
