GTA Online zombie apocalypse event sounds like it will be an absolute blast. So make it happen, you cowards!

Ever since GTA Online was first released in 2013, developers Rockstar Games have supported it with a vast variety of epic content updates. Some could argue that GTA V has been left behind. However, GTA Online continues to be a massive cash cow, so it’s understandable why it has been a major focus of Rockstar Games and publisher Take-Two Interactive.

While we wait for the arrival of Grand Theft Auto VI, as reported by Gfinity, fans on Reddit have been discussing what they’d like to see in GTA Online before its new iteration arrives. One such topic of discussion has been a zombie apocalypse event in Los Santos.

Rockstar Games is no stranger to unleashing the walking dead. In 2010, it released the epic expansion, ‘Undead Nightmare’ for the original Red Dead Redemption. This expansion was so good, that fans were desperate to see it return in the 2018 sequel. Sadly, it’s unlikely that the highly requested expansion for RDR2 will ever rise from its grave.

But what about GTA Online? Surely Rockstar Games would unleash the dead in Los Santos before the arrival of GTA VI? Can you imagine how epic that would be if we had a zombie apocalypse to the scale of World War Z? That seriously needs to happen.

“If” they do this, would y’all like to see a zombie apocalypse event? Where we fight the undead,” asked Redditor GamerDabiTodoroki.

“It would be fun AF. Make the NPCs aggressive at night and slow during the day. No cars driving on the road but there are abandoned empty vehicles everywhere. I wish they did this,” replied piamogus.

“This would be an amazing event. Players fighting against a whole city of undead would be an event I wouldn't miss,” said Firebreak_Z. “One can only hope! The RDR zombies were awesome,” added danndaman007.

It’s unlikely that the GTA Online zombie apocalypse event will ever happen. But you never know, if fans make enough noise to Rockstar Games, an Undead Los Santos Nightmare would be perfect for Halloween 2023.

In related Grand Theft Auto news, fans have grown concerned that when GTA VI finally arrives, the little Xbox Series S will hold the game back.
