Grand Theft Auto: Vice City of 2002 is one of the most beloved entries in the popular Rockstar Games series and at the heart of its tale was Tommy Vercetti, played by the late Ray Liotta.

Born on 18 December 1954 in New Jersey, the United States, Ray Liotta shot to fame in the brilliant movie GoodFellas in 1990 directed by Martin Scorsese and starred alongside Robert De Niro and Joe Pesci. Liotta is also known by many for the leading role that he played in GTA: Vice City.

Sadly, in May 2022, Ray Liotta passed away and with the upcoming GTA VI taking us back to the Miami-inspired location of Vice City, fans agree that the popular actor should be paid tribute by Rockstar Games, and we agree also.

“How do you want Rockstar Games to reference Tommy Vercetti in GTA VI,” asked Redditor dlovan666 kicking off the discussion on the thread and fellow users shared how they believe the actor should be honoured.

“Probably like O'Creagh's Run [Red Dead Redemption 2], they will name a beautiful place something like Ray Beach and Liotta's Lake,” said plasticbluepalm. “Lake Liotta sounds a lot better than Lake Leonida,” replied Bananaramamammoth.

“Vercetti Island or a bar named Tommy's Place. Maybe a movie theatre that's playing GoodFellas or a piece in the news talking about Tommy's exploits since Vice City,” suggested Lopsided_Register_90. “Have Vercetti Estate while having a White Infernus Classic in the Garage with the Estate grown over,” proposed BeauCaliente00.

I’d be shocked if Rockstar Games hadn't already had a few ideas cooking in the oven on how they might pay tribute to Ray Liotta in Grand Theft Auto VI, and I can’t wait to see how that’s done.

Grand Theft Auto VI will be released on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S in 2025. At the time of writing, a PC release hasn't been announced.
