The first official trailer for GTA VI is nearly upon us and if you thought that Rockstar Games announcing its arrival would slow down the rumours and speculation, then think again.

Following a report from reputable journalist Jason Schreier, Rockstar Games’ hand was seemingly forced when it announced that we’ll be treated to the first trailer for Grand Theft Auto VI in early December. That being said, it’s probably worth keeping our expectations to a minimum, just in case we’re treated to a logo and a small snippet of gameplay, at best.

Perhaps the best-case scenario would be a couple of minutes of gameplay as well as that elusive GTA VI release date. Can you imagine the internet rage if we just get a logo? The Grand Theft Auto fan base would go into meltdown. However, if previous rumours are to be believed, GTA VI could be released between 2024 to 2025.

The latest rumours to come out of the ever-spinning mill is for the song that will feature in the upcoming GTA VI trailer. Now, it must be stated that this seems to be a community-driven rumour rather than one being from an apparent source. Recently, comments have been flooding the music video on YouTube for ‘That’s All’ from the band Genesis.

“I don't know if this really will be in the GTA VI trailer, but it's incredible how it fits the Grand Theft Auto series, you can totally picture that piano riff over the title card,” said JoaoFederle. “Can’t believe it’s already been five years since GTA VI. This song gives me so much nostalgia,” jokes lunaticray8094. While many others have joked about the boost in views this video will receive once the GTA VI trailer eventually drops.

It’s more than likely that this song from Genesis won't be the song featured in the debut Grand Theft Auto VI trailer, but it’s not outside the realms of possibility. After all, the lead singer of Genesis, Phil Collins, featured as himself in GTA: Vice City. Either way, we can’t wait for the trailer to drop.

Grand Theft Auto VI is expected to be released on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
