GTA VI is due a third trailer, and while that’s very exciting it also means more and more theorising from fans on what it might feature.
The first two trailers for the game have been wildly different so far, with the first being a quick showcase of the visuals with cutscenes and shots of the open-world but no actual gameplay.
The second trailer also didn’t feature gameplay, instead it felt more like a deep-dive into the story as well as a closer look at our two new protagonists, Lucia and Jason, who’ll be a Bonnie and Clyde-style duo.

Now GTA VI has been delayed to 2026 so the chances of us getting a third trailer anytime soon are slim, but I don’t think it’s unreasonable to believe a third one will drop before the end of the year.
What it’ll include though is anyone’s guess, but fans as usual have their ideas and have been happy to share them online.
Most of the discourse is on when we can expect the next trailer, using patterns of previous Rockstar Games releases as reference points.
One fan reckons the third trailer will drop sometime in January 2026, and while there’s no real evidence to prove it it’s not a bad guess.

“I think December for pre-orders and Trailer 3” suggested a fan in the comments, which again doesn’t seem like a bad guess as surely something will be shared for 2025 is out.
Another comment supported this idea saying “I mean they obviously want us to pre order the game so I don’t think they will starve us for too long.”
As for what the third trailer will feature, I’d imagine it has to be gameplay next. We haven’t really seen any up to now so a third trailer that takes us through what we’ll be able to see and do in Vice City and beyond feels like the next logistical step from a marketing perspective, especially if preorders go live around the same time.
