GTA 6 trailer 2 release date has fans divided, and we can see why

With the recent rumour across social media hinting at the second GTA VI trailer being just around the corner, others believe this is yet another hoax.

Thanks to various insider information, rumours, and even a t-shirt found in Grand Theft Auto Online, many fans believe that the second official Grand Theft Auto VI trailer is set to release on 1 April.

Happy April Fool’s Day indeed.

It is hard to believe that it has been well over a year since Rockstar released the first trailer, which officially revealed that we would be heading back to Vice City and embarking on a Bonnie and Clyde-esque adventure with new characters, Jason and Lucia.

Since then, the studio has been radio silent when it comes to when fans can expect the second trailer, which as you can expect, has led to quite a few hopeful guesses.

This time it is 1 April but this all depends on one thing.

At least according to user TGGonYT on Twitter who recently said the following:

“So many people are saying "Rockstar won't release trailer 2 on April 1" (April Fool's Day).

You have to realize they would announce it BEFORE April 1, so it wouldn't be a surprise. If we hear nothing before April 1, it's not shadow-dropping on April 1.”

This is based around the idea that Rockstar will not just drop the trailer on 1 April (if it even happens at all) and will instead announce it a few days before like it did with trailer one.

As a result, we could hear an official announcement at the end of March.

“I get the joke, but historically they have announced every trailer in advance for both GTA V & RDR2. Even trailers 3&4,” TGG continued.

However, one other user had quite a bizarre theory.

“Trailer 2 is already available on Youtube but as an unlisted video. You just have to decode the t-shirt to find the video ID. That's my theory!” They shared.

It remains to be seen when, and how, we will see the second trailer but with Grand Theft Auto VI expected to launch later this year, Rockstar had better hurry up.
