We’ve had second Grand Theft Auto VI delay, yes, but what about third Grand Theft Auto VI delay?
Grand Theft Auto VI fans are feeling understandably pessimistic about the likelihood of us getting our hands on the game in November, and their reasoning does make sense.
Rockstar Games bloody loves delaying stuff. Well, I’m sure they don’t actively enjoy it, but they sure as hell have a track record of doing so.
Thankfully, they do keep to the same pattern of delays. Usually, as was the case with Red Dead Redemption II and GTA V, Rockstar Games only delays its games twice.

As you likely already know, GTA VI has been delayed twice already.
It was initially touted for a 2025 release date, until being pushed back to May 26, 2026. Then, most recently, it was delayed again to November 19, 2026.
So, that should mean it’s definitely coming out in November, right? Well, the community doesn’t seem too sure.
DarkViperAU, who is one of the most popular Grand Theft Auto content creators, posted a poll on his YouTube page asking fans if they think the game will be delayed for a third time.
Their response? 80% seem pretty certain it will.

Over on the r/GTA6 subreddit, one user was confused with the result of the poll, and asked members of the community to clarify why the majority of fans seem to believe GTA VI won’t make it’s November 2026 release date.
“It's just the reality, Rockstar already delayed it twice, and there's no guarantee they won't do it again,” commented user Virtual-Can-9948.
“I expect the delay announcement anytime between march and july.”
“Unfortunately op and a lot of people on this sub are in full fanboy denial about another possible delay… I've gotten downvoted into oblivion on this sub for stating that we were definitely not going to get another trailer in 2025,” replied user Subjectdelta44.
“And that wasn't me even being pessimistic, just having even the slightest realistic outlook on it… Of course I could still get proven wrong in the next 9 hours lol.”
Spoiler alert: they were, in fact, not proven wrong.
However, it is important to note that, for now, this is all just speculation… although said speculation is clearly fueled by Rockstar Games’ history regarding delays, so perhaps it might be better to say it’s more of an educated guess.
Personally, I can’t wait to write this article again in 2027.
