It looks like the length of GTA 6’s story mode may have just been leaked.
The Grand Theft Auto games are known for their massive stories and large open worlds, and GTA 6 looks like this might be no exception.
As investigative fans have discovered, the map for GTA 6’s Vice City and Leonidas State might be the biggest open world Rockstar Games has ever concocted.

Now, a new leak has revealed the story mode length of GTA 6, as well as a few other details about what you’ll be able to get up to during your time in Vice City.
According to X (formerly Twitter) user GameRoll, GTA 6 will have five chapters in the story mode. This was revealed on Discord (thanks, The Game Post).
Since GameRoll had previously revealed the names of our two main characters, Jason and Lucia, this does give them some credibility. But still, take the info with a grain of salt.
Bear in mind that this doesn’t mean the game will have five missions, it’ll have a lot more than that.

It’s better to think of chapters to be grouped into acts, or a collection of missions, usually connected by new story beats or locations.
That’s assuming it’s similar to Red Dead Redemption 2, which had six main chapters and two epilogue chapters across 94 story missions.
To compare this with some of the last few GTA games, GTA 5 had 70 story mode missions, while GTA 4 had 88. The largest mission count in a GTA game is San Andreas, which had 100.
GameRoll also revealed there will be “700+ stores” to rob and there’ll also be male strippers. They also mentioned that players can control Jason, Lucia, or both at the same time using a character select wheel.

With a long wait until May next year, it’ll be a while before we know just how long GTA 6 is going to be.
Considering how packed Rockstar’s open worlds and stories are though, we imagine you’ll be spending a long time in Vice City.
