Despite knowing that Grand Theft Auto VI is set to launch this Fall, we do not yet have an official release date.

However, with the Rockstar title expected to be one of the biggest gaming launches of all time, fans are eager to receive an exact release date for one very good reason.

Check out the first official GTA VI trailer below!

As of now, Rockstar has released one official trailer for Grand Theft Auto VI and that was way back in December 2023.

Since then, the studio has remained tight-lipped about the game’s launch and instead left it to parent company, Take-Two Interactive, to confirm that GTA VI was still scheduled for a Fall 2025 release.

With no news of a second trailer and no exact release date for the game, it is no surprise that fans are feeling worried.

Especially as many of them want to know when they can take some PTO.

This comes after one user took to r/GTA6 to tell their fellow fans not to get their hopes up for any news during April.

“Let’s remember this to avoid disappointment for April,” they shared.

“I know tomorrow is April and in May, the earnings call is happening, but let's remember to not anticipate anything until Rockstar themselves starts revealing. They love the free marketing with all the theory crafting going on.”

With some theories suggesting that we may receive a second trailer sometime in April, or even just confirmation that one is coming, it makes sense that fans are fed up with getting their hopes up.

However, for user Kliegz, they have other concerns.

“I really just want a release date so I can submit my PTO request lmao,” they shared in the comments.

Fellow user zjones1008 also revealed that they have a baby due in November and so it was a “beautiful coincidence” that their leave corresponds with the supposed launch of GTA VI.

It remains to be seen which date the next Grand Theft Auto title will drop on so for now, it is worth keeping hold of that annual leave.
