GTA 6 isn’t available for pre-order yet, but it hasn’t stopped the endless speculation from fans.
Rockstar Games will release Grand Theft Auto 6 next year, and it’s hyped up to be one of the biggest media releases of all time.
While we’re still just under a year away from release, there’s still a lot to be revealed by Rockstar that we don’t know yet.

For example, there are rumours that the game could cost up to $100 at launch, a price that some seem willing to pay, while others aren’t.
However, some fans are also trying to figure out when pre-orders will go live. It’s only then that we’ll be able to have official confirmation of how much GTA 6 will cost.
One commenter on Reddit reckons “Holiday 2025” will be the time to launch pre-orders, in order to not miss out on holiday sales.
“I think around Christmas would make sense to announce preorders depending on when the game comes out of course, since it’s a lot of parents buying the game,” wrote another comment.

“A child was born when GTA 5 came out. They’ll be 13 when GTA 6 is released. Just think of your childhood and all that happened by age 13,” a third comment pointed out, which makes me feel old.
If you ask me, I'd say winter 2025 makes sense to launch pre-orders.
Rockstar won't see any of that cashflow until the game launches, but it's a good way for it to project future earnings. And spending tends to go up around Christmas anyway.
Others in the Reddit thread worry that the game might receive another delay from its new May release date.

“Summer 2026 given they’ll probably pull a Cyberpunk and delay it two more times,” writes one comment.
While another delay to GTA 6 could always be possible, it’s worth pointing out that once Rockstar announces a concrete release date, it tends to stick closely to that date.
So unless an unforeseen catastrophe should affect the final production of GTA 6, we’ll most likely all be playing it on 26th May, 2026.
