GTA 6 pre-orders are expected to open in the months towards launch, but that hasn’t stopped fans from rallying behind it so soon.
Rockstar Games is set to release Grand Theft Auto 6 in May next year, and until then we’ve had plenty of speculation surrounding how much the game will cost and when pre-orders will go live.
There hasn’t been any confirmation from Rockstar yet on when exactly this will be happening, nor what the price will be. However, it’s expected that whatever the cost, GTA 6 is going to smash sales records.
In the meantime, however, fans are rallied behind GTA 6 for whenever the pre-orders go live.

“Rockstar The Second Pre-Orders become available for GTA 6,” posted one fan on the GTA 6 Reddit page, along with a GIF from the film Scarface showing lots of money being counted.

GTA 6 fans also weighed in, with many feeling like the pre-order will be justified due to the quality and size of previous Rockstar games.
“That’s just Rockstar everyday lol,” wrote a fan in the comments. “The day pre-orders come by they’ll even struggle to “receive” all that money from how insane it’s going to be.”
“The only pre order that is worth purchasing. I don't care if the game turns out to be okay, it's still gonna be amazing,” wrote another fan. Whatever that means.
“Rockstar is the only company I still trust enough to preorder from,” another wrote.

However, some players were also still remaining cautious about pre-ordering a game they still haven’t seen much of.
“After Cyberpunk, I don't think I ever wanna pre-order a game again,” wrote one. “Not saying by any means that GTA 6 is gonna have the same launch as Cyberpunk and I know Cyberpunk is great now, but I don't wanna risk getting burned like that again.”
GTA 6 is set in the fictional US state of Leonidas, Rockstar’s stand-in for Florida, and heavily features Vice City which is based on Miami. It’ll be the first GTA game since 2013’s GTA 5, so it’s safe to say that the hype has been immeasurable.
The game’s plot switches between the perspectives of a criminal couple: Jason and Lucia, who are the two playable protagonists this time around. Although more details about the plot and gameplay are still being kept under wraps, with this being a GTA game, expect lots of driving and shooting.

It was originally announced back in December 2023, with a projected release window of 2025. However, earlier this year those plans changed, as Rockstar delayed the game back to 26th May, 2026.
