I've always said if you can't visit Miami, Paisley is the next best thing. Based on the reaction to some recently uploaded gameplay footage, it looks like I was right.

As I'm sure everyone reading this knows by now (unless you live at the bottom of the ocean in an old bit of pipe), GTA VI will be set in a fictional recreation of Florida, with a big focus being on Vice City (famously based on Miami).

However, we're still in for a bit of a wait for GTA VI. While the game is reportedly still on track to release in 2025, we have no idea when in 2025 the game is coming. It could be months from now, or more than a year still.

The good news for those who just can't wait for a stunning open-world game? Someone has created an incredibly impressive GTA-esque game set in... the lovely Scottish town of Paisley.

TikToker linziclarkmusic shared her boyfriend’s – Bovine – project of a GTA-style game set in Scotland, and the 5-minute concept has already amassed nearly 350,000 views.

While we should stress this game isn't actually playable (or really technically even a game at this point), admirers are very keen to help see the project through, even offering to fund it.

“This is actually incredible! get him to start a Gofundme and we could all get the ball rolling for an actual game of some kind, i’m sure people would be up for it,” one fan enthused on TikTok.

Another added: "A Glasgow crime game with the tenements at night. This looks brilliant."

"This is the most amazing thing I have ever seen! If he doesn’t bring out Silent Hill: Glasgow, I’ll be forever disappointed," a third joked.

The TikToker has since responded to fans, writing: "Yes we need to explore options. So good to see people are invested!”

She's also pointed out her boyfriend is on Instagram where he shares updates on things he's been working on, so if you're keen to see more be sure to find him under his username @thebovinething.
