It looks like GTA VI could be the most realistic entry in the ever-popular series which will no doubt raise the hype levels to new heights.

When Rockstar Games released the first trailer for its highly anticipated next entry in its Grand Theft Auto series at the end of 2023, it sent social media into a frenzy and that ripple effect is still being felt today.

Check out the GTA VI trailer below!

At this time, there’s a lot we don't know about GTA VI, other than one of its locations will be the returning Miami-inspired Vice City in a modern setting. It will also star criminal duo, Jason and Lucia, with the latter recently being released from prison.

We also haven't seen much in terms of gameplay mechanics, other than what we’ve seen so far in the only trailer to be released. So, understandably, rumours are still running wild on the internet but hey, what else is new?

We can expect GTA VI to be the best-looking and largest game in the series and hopefully, its depth of gameplay will be taken up several notches. I know we can’t help but raise our expectations but it’s unlikely for Rockstar Games not to deliver the goods at this point.

In a recent round of rumours, as reported by TweakTown(via Wccftech), Rockstar Games is said to be improving its mission design by giving players more freedom than ever as well as vastly improving NPC AI.

The latest information comes from an interview on the YouTube channel GTAVIoclock with the lead designer at Just Add Water (Oddworld: New 'n' Tasty!), Ben Hinchliffe, former developer of Rockstar Games.

It’s worth keeping in mind that while Ben Hinchliffe has knowledge about Rockstar Games that we do not have, he’s no longer an employee there. That being said, there’s a good chance that he has some inside knowledge but we should still take the information with a pinch of salt.

Grand Theft Auto VI is currently scheduled to be released in late 2025 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. The PC launch is yet to be announced. Hopefully, we’ll get the next GTA VI trailer soon.
