Can you believe that we’re only around two months away from the one-year anniversary of GTA VI’s reveal trailer dropping?

It’s hard to believe that Rockstar has kept us in the dark ever since.

Well, that’s not strictly true. The studio did surface to narrow GTA VI’s release window down from 2025 to Fall 2025.

We’ve certainly not had anything in the way of a gameplay trailer though.

Heck, I think many of us would settle for a series of screenshots. Just a crumb of an update to keep us going.

Assumedly, something has got to happen soon if the game is only around 12 months or so away from launch.

Of course, when Rockstar does surface again, we’ll be here to deliver you that latest update.

In the meantime, I want to direct your attention towards an incredible fan-made project as one modding group is in the midst of remaking Grand Theft Auto: Vice City.

Take a look at GTA VI’s original reveal trailer below.

This project is the work of YouTube modders Revolution Team.

In their latest video, the team has showcased a portion of Vice City running with ‘new-gen’ graphics compared to the 2002 original.

‘New-gen’ is their descriptor, not mine. While this project boasts a visible upgrade, don’t expect GTA VI-like quality.

The subtle upgrade respects the almost retro aesthetic of the original release.

You can take a look at the video below, with gameplay taken from the Trojan Voodoo mission.

This is just the latest in a long line of similar videos.

Revolution Team is targeting a December 2024 release, so it shouldn’t be too long until you can give this iteration of GTA: Vice City a whirl for yourself and yes, the mod will be free.

Details on how to download the remake mod project will be obtainable nearer the time.

I recommend you follow the Revolution Team’s YouTube channel to keep up to date with when those details become available.
