GTA 6 fans hyped as Michael, Trevor and Franklin tease their return

Could it really happen?

Grand Theft Auto VI is finally set to arrive next year, on 26 May 2026.

It’ll take us back to Vice City, albeit with a new cast of characters led by Lucia Caminos and Jason Duval.

Boobie Ike, Brian Heder, Cal Hampton, Dre-Quan Priest, and Raul Bautista are just a few of the other new faces we’ll meet.

As for returning characters, there’s just one so far, Phil Cassidy; it is thought that this may be a descendent of the familiar character though given the fact that this Phil Cassidy is no longer missing an arm.

While no one else has yet been confirmed to return, GTA V’s Michael, Trevor, and Franklin actors have all made it clear that they’d love to return in the next Rockstar Games title.

Steven Ogg, Shawn Fonteno, and Ned Luke recently appeared at Comic Con Brussels where, as reported by Dexerto, they addressed a possible final story DLC.

“That would be great,” Luke answered.

“Would you call that? The Final One?” added Fonteno, while Ogg grinned in agreement.

“The Final Score,” Luke added.

“So y’all campaign. One last score,” Fonteno continued.

Honestly, that sounds peak and needless to say, fans are already onboard with the idea.

“I would buy it in a second,” said zopotroco.

“I feel like they’re owed it considering there was story DLC planned for GTA V but got scrapped because of how well Online was doing revenue wise,” added Lil-Bugz.

“I would love to see them back. Loved the GTA V cast, my favourite in the series,” remarked futurafrlx.

Of course, not everybody agreed.

Some fans voiced that they’d rather revisit the character of Niko Bellic, whilst others joked that Fonteno, Ogg, and Luke were after a fresh paycheck more than anything.

I’ve got to be honest, I really can’t see this iconic trio returning when it already seems abundantly clear that GTA VI has a sweeping new story and landscape of characters to introduce us to.

Unless … they return for GTA Online’s final update ahead of its next-gen successor.
