GTA 6 meets Marvel’s Spider-Man in free open-world game

The PlayStation Plus service hasn’t received the best reviews lately due to its questionable choice of games. However, if you dive a bit deeper, you will find some hidden gems including one open-world game that combines Grand Theft Auto 6 and Marvel’s Spider-Man.

Originally released in 2013, Saints Row IV is an action-adventure game developed by Volition and marks the fourth in the Saints Row series. First released on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, it was remastered as Saints Row IV: Re-Elected in 2021 which not only offered improved performance and graphics but also included all Saints Row IV DLCs and a new standalone title called Gat Out of Hell.

If curing cancer and saving santa sounds like your version of a good time, Saints Row IV continues on the story of the Saints who have gone up in the world from the Penthouse to the White House. However, they have no time to relax as Earth has been invaded and it is up to you to save it. With an arsenal of supernatural abilities and weapons, you will have to survive being transported to a “bizzaro-Steelport simulation”.

With the crazy open-world vibes of Grand Theft Auto 6 and featuring the bad guys you would find in Marvel’s Spider-Man, Saints Row IV is the “wildest open-world game ever”.
