We’re all used to weird antics in the Grand Theft Auto series but having a romantic relationship with a robot in GTA VI could be the weirdest antic yet.

Following years of rumours and leaks, Rockstar Games finally revealed the first trailer for GTA VI and unsurprisingly, it caused a tsunami of excitement across social media. At the time of writing, the official upload to YouTube has surpassed well over 200 million views and counting.

Check out the GTA VI trailer below!

As of right now, we don't have a solid release date for GTA VI but an investor call with Rockstar Games' parent company Take-Two Interactive stated that the highly anticipated game is on course to launch in late 2025. However, we should always expect delays, especially when it comes to Rockstar Games titles.

Moreover, when it comes to leaks and rumours for any game, they should always be taken with a pinch of salt until proven otherwise. With that in mind, I would say recent rumours of players having the option of romantic relationships with robots in GTA VI should also be taken with a pinch of salt, but with this series, nothing will ever surprise me.

“GTA VI will reportedly feature romance with robots and a dynamic relationship system, based on a leaked world events list,” said the Twitter fan account, GTA VI Countdown (via GTA Forums).

The leaked world events list mentions “Sex Robots” and multiple references pointing towards a dynamic relationship system between Jason & Lucia such as “Romantic cool”, “Romantic chaotic”, “Pragmatic cool” and “Pragmatic chaotic”.

They say variety is the spice of life and if GTA VI does give players the option of romancing robots, I just hope there’s plenty of WD-40 to go around in Vice City because we’re going to need it.

GTA VI will launch on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S in 2025. A PC release hasn’t been officially announced, yet. We’ll keep you posted when we hear further information on when the release date drops for all available platforms.
