There is just under a year to go until we can finally get our hands on Grand Theft Auto VI following news of a delay earlier this year.
However, according to a prolific Grand Theft Auto leaker, another delay may be on the cards.
It has been well over a decade since fans got to experience Grand Theft Auto V for the first time but it seems as though the wait for Grand Theft Auto VI may be even longer than we first thought.

The next Grand Theft Auto title was originally planned to be released in fall 2025 but Rockstar revealed that it has been pushed back to 26 May 2026.
Now it seems as though we may be waiting even longer than that according to GameRoll, a prolific GTA VI leaker who is best known for accurately revealing the surnames of both Jason and Lucia ahead of their official confirmation in the second trailer.
In a recent post, GameRoll has taken to Discord (courtesy of Dexerto) to reveal that there may be some trouble with development for GTA VI.
According to the leaker, some of the later parts of the game’s story are being reworked and the final chapter has supposedly been in “development hell” for a while now.

As a result, much of the final chapter was cut which is why Rockstar is having to rework it.
GameRoll has previously stated that Grand Theft Auto VI will feature five chapters but fans have only seen the first half of the game in the official trailers.
It seems as though fans have not seen the latter half of the game simply because it has not yet been finished and this could cause yet another delay.
Of course, this news should be taken with a pinch of salt as GameRoll has previously revealed that his source is a friend of a Rockstar developer.

If true, however, Grand Theft Auto VI could be delayed until late 2026 or even 2027.
Let us pray that this is not true.
