One of the first free game offerings has dropped for GTA VI, or at least, it will drop in nine months from now.
The release date for GTA VI has pretty much been set in stone at this point, after Rockstar Games reiterated that it will stick to its November 2026 launch. Fans were rightly concerned that the game might get delayed, given that it has already been delayed more than once.
As of right now, the next entry in the Grand Theft Auto series is coming to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S this year, with its PC date yet to be announced. As such, some PC gamers are willing to indulge in a costly workaround so that they can play GTA VI with no further delay.
At the time of writing, GTA VI is just over nine months away from release, which just so happens to be how long it takes to typically carry a baby before it drops.

As brought to our attention by Reddit user Lujah, a Norwegian electronic retailer (Komplett) is giving away a free copy of GTA VI, as long as you live in Norway and you give birth on the game's launch day.
“This is actually not nonsense, GTA VI is released in nine months, and if you have a baby on the launch date, you will get the game for free from us,” confirmed a Komplett Instagram post.
“The idea of a new parent having time to either parent effectively, or play a new game, is really quite funny,” said ThreeTreesForTheePls.
The Reddit user above raises a valid point. I don’t think your other half would be best pleased if you sat on your backside all day, playing GTA VI, while they looked after your newborn baby.
“As someone with children AND paid parental leave, let me be the first to say, when you have a newborn, you will NOT be playing a lot of video games,” declared erishun.
Well, actually, I did find a way to cradle my newborn baby (before he turned into a near six-foot teenager) while holding a controller. Just saying. So, that was my loophole, I gamed and looked after a baby, though my wife might say differently. But I’ll stick to my truth.
“They should be giving out condoms. No one wants to have to take care of a newborn on release day,” joked Ericjfranklin, or at least, I think they’re joking.
