GTA 6 fans slam new trailer from Rockstar Games

That's not ... sigh

Yesterday, all eyes were on Rockstar Games as Take-Two prepared to hold its latest earnings call.

Would the studio drop a new trailer?

Well, actually, the answer is yes. It just wasn’t a trailer for Grand Theft Auto VI.

I swear Rockstar Games is doing this to troll us at this point.

Instead, the studio unveiled that three new Drift Races are soon set to join GTA Online … yippee, I guess.

All wasn’t lost for GTA VI hopefuls though, as Take-Two did mention the game during that aforementioned earnings call.

Sorry to say that no release date was confirmed, with the publisher instead simply reassuring investors that the game is still on track to launch this fall, so you can push your delay concerns to one side.

But let’s hop back to that Drift Races trailer.

One day, we’ll be able to plonk a second GTA VI trailer here. Not today though.

Rockstar took to Twitter to make the announcement, writing, “Slide your way to victory around three new GTA Online Drift Races, awarding 2X GTA$ and RP through Feb 12 (4X for GTA+ Members).”

They continued, “The Drift Tuning Upgrade is now available at the LS Car Meet for the Dinka Jester Classic, Karin Futo, and RUNE Cheburek.”

Of course, as you can imagine, GTA fans paid very little attention to what this update actually entails.

“GTA VI looks amazing here fam,” wrote Twitter user OvertimeGG.

“Are you serious bruhh,” added LaughandLayers.

“You guys do remember you have a new game that’s supposed to be launching in seven months? Right? RIGHT???” wrote popular fan account SynthPotato.

Considering that GTA VI is still on track for fall 2025, it should launch between September and November, so we’re talking seven to nine months away.

You do have to wonder when they are going to ramp up marketing. We remain, as always, in the dark.
