Despite not releasing until next week, one upcoming action-adventure game has already found itself in hot water following a series of unfortunate events.
The game in question is MindsEye, an upcoming title by Build a Rocket Boy which has already been likened to Grand Theft Auto.
However, it seems as though the action-adventure game is far from reaching the heights of Rockstar’s series after multiple setbacks over recent weeks.

Not only has it been reported that studio executives have already left Build a Rocket Boy, but MindsEye has also been removed from the Japanese PlayStation Store with pre-orders being cancelled without warning.
The worst part is that MindsEye is not set to release until 10 June so we can only imagine how much worse things are about to get.
The bad news continues as one Twitter user Unknown Reason has managed to get their hands on an early copy of MindsEye and after eight hours of gameplay, decided to share their thoughts.
“So, first of all, keep in mind that there is no Day One release available right now,” they began.

“Secondly, I'm not impressed at all.
The technical aspect of the current build in the disc is almost the same as it was when Mass Effect Andromeda was released.”
Unknown Reasons goes on to talk about multiple FPS drops in both gameplay and cutscenes as well as flickering being noticeable on the screen at all times.
They have also encountered “a big amount” of bugs and glitches even at the start of the game and the mechanics feel “half-baked”.

“First of all, I want to make it clear that I don't want to spread hate against BARB. But! And there is always a but, the current build which they printed on the discs is a technical mess,” they continued.
“I really wanted to tell you something positive about it, but I can’t.”
With just a few days to go until MindsEye is officially released, it seems as though its launch will be far from smooth but who knows? Maybe a miracle has occurred over the past week.
