It seems fans are somewhat heartbroken over a recent Rockstar Games announcement that might have some impact on GTA VI news.

It’s no secret that when Rockstar Games drops news at 5pm on any given day related to the next entry in the Grand Theft Auto series, it’s going to make big waves across social media. Just like when the first trailer for GTA VI was dropped early in December 2023.

Earlier this week, after waiting over 14 years, Red Dead Redemption is finally coming to PC later this month and fans have understandably gone wild. However, following this announcement, some fans are concerned that it could mean Rockstar Games will be in no hurry to reveal the next GTA VI trailer.

“Could this mean we ain't getting a trailer this month?” exclaimed Redditor RamonRamos. “With Red Dead Redemption being ported to PC this month, I doubt that Rockstar will release any info for GTA VI this October.”

One thing has to be made clear, Rockstar Games has never announced when the next GTA VI trailer will arrive, this is mere speculation that has been making the rounds.

“All these years to get RDR and Undead Nightmare on PC and they do it when one of its biggest games has already been announced. They sure do know how to rubber band tie our balls and slap them with a fly swatter with its updates,” said a disgruntled DayDreamer1300.

“Studios normally have multiple teams working on different projects at the same time and I'm sure Rockstar is no different, so it can easily do both,” Front_Carrot_1486 suggested.

“Where did this idea come from that we would get a trailer this month?” asked Sharp-Effective-2030 with Cavey20 adding “Watch Rockstar Games release another trailer on December 4th this year.”

Grand Theft Auto VI does not have a solid release date at the time of writing but it is currently scheduled to be released on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S in late 2025. A PC release is yet to be announced.

As for the long-awaited Red Dead Redemption PC port, that arrives on 29 October.
