Ah sh**, here we go again as rumours are making the rounds that the development of GTA 6 is much further along than we thought.

It’s another week, which means it’s another round of GTA 6 rumours. The most recent of which claims that the development of the next mammoth entry from the Rockstar Games series might be arriving much sooner than expected.

As picked up by GamesRadar (thanks PSU), in a tweet posted by GTA 6 News & Leaks 2.0, it shared a collection of images that claim Grand Theft Auto 6 could be in its final stages of development. Some of the rumours link back to the leaks in 2022 and all appear to collaborate with one another. Unfortunately, with so many leaks crawling from beneath the woodwork, it’s difficult to keep track of what may or may not be genuine.

It was implied that the leaked GTA 6 footage was from a 2019 test build, however, that might not be the case. After gathering all the apparent evidence, GTA 6 News & Leaks 2.0 believe that the leaked footage was in fact from a 2021 test build. What’s more, Tez2 is featured in the images from the tweet and is considered to be a reliable source of information when it comes to leaks related to Rockstar Games.

Apparently GTA 6's game is finished, is being polished up and getting prepared for final stages before release. R* is fixing bugs. Also the alpha build was made in 2021, not in 2019. R* was probably likely using it to test. https://t.co/dT1JTJ35xy #GTA6 pic.twitter.com/sFFPtwmedj

Obviously, we should take all rumours, leaks and speculation with a pinch of salt until proven otherwise. That being said, hopefully, Rockstar Games will officially let the cat out of the bag in the coming months.

Despite apparent constant leaks, Rockstar Games likes to keep its cards close to its chest. However, as the old saying goes: “there’s no smoke without fire.” Whenever that Grand Theft Auto 6 reveal may or may not be made, it’s probably safe to assume that it will get delayed at some point anyway.
