We’ve got to hand it to Rockstar Games, they certainly know how to get the Grand Theft Auto fandom riled up.

Most of us are winding down for the holidays, yet there are some GTA VI fans who believe that Christmas is exactly when the second trailer will be released.

Before you declare these gamers silly for their new theory, allow the clues to speak for themselves.

All the “evidence” compiled seems to suggest that 27 December will be when the second trailer will drop.

Until we get the second tailer, all we can offer is the one and only GTA VI official trailer we have.

GTA VI developers have shared seemingly innocent images with massive connotations, assuming you believe this new theory.

As highlighted on Twitter, there are several key areas within the images shown that tease this date.

Firstly, there’s a Rockstar bag with a cat standing next to it, with the assumption being that the cat is now out of the bag.

The cat is the trailer, in case that isn’t obvious.

You’ll also spy a number to an automobile dealership called 27 Auto Sales; the ‘27 Auto’ bit is what you need to pay attention to.

Upon closer inspection, fans have also noticed that two cat hairs spell out ‘VI’.

I wish I was joking with this one, but it’s true. Or at least, fans believe the sign to be true.

“They even made a ‘VI’ with the cat’s hair, they have to be trolling,” commented @its_menieb.

We wouldn’t say it’s a solid theory, rather just a theory that may end up being true. It’s unlikely, but who knows at this point.

“So in a week, looks like Santa does exist,” said @SeanChang.

Look over the clues at your leisure and see if you agree with what some of the fandom believes.

It could be that Christmas is about to get a GTA VI themed upgrade, or it could be that we’re about to be washing clown make-up off for the hundredth time.

We know which one seems more likely...
