GTA VI fans are roasting Rockstar Games following a new announcement as we desperately await an update on the highly anticipated release.

Fans of Grand Theft Auto are being mentally tortured waiting for a new gameplay trailer for GTA VI but also its set-in-stone release date. Rockstar Games released the first trailer for GTA VI in December 2023 (yes, it’s been that long) which was accompanied by a 2025 launch window.

We later learned that GTA VI would be released sometime during late 2025 but as of right now, that’s pretty much all we know and fans have been roasting Rockstar Games on Twitter.

As is often the case, GTA Online is supported with monthly events which reward players with free DLC, bonus XP, in-game currency and much more. The latest update, ‘Oscar Guzman Flies Again’ arrives tomorrow 4 March 2025.

No doubt, the latest free event for GTA Online featuring Oscar Guzman, a recurring character from GTA V will be a lot of fun but it seems nowadays, Rockstar Games can’t post anything on social media without fans asking for news of GTA VI (and we don’t blame them).

“Chart a new flight path for your arms trafficking business in Oscar Guzman Flies Again, the new GTA Online update coming on March 4,” tweeted Rockstar Games but fans used this post to let their feelings be known about GTA VI.

“One more update after this, then GTA VI release news,” pleaded SynthPotato.

“Where is trailer two for GTA VI? Asking for a friend,” claimed 47Sha.

“We should expect the GTA VI trailer two next month in April,” said a hopeful GTAVI_Prime.

“GTA VI or don’t care,” replied digelotron.

I think it’s safe to assume that we will get an update on GTA VI at some point this year, but it’s a case of when. I just hope the news we get is not related to a release date delay.

Grand Theft Auto VI will be released on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. Rockstar Games is yet to announce the PC version.
