Roll up, roll up. Get your free games. Who doesn’t love a freebie? Yesterday, PlayStation Plus’ three monthly free titles became available to download - so go grab those if you haven’t already. You can also get your hands on free Valhalla DLC if you watch this weekend’s Ubisoft Forward showcase. We’re here though to discuss an acclaimed action-adventure game which is currently free on the Epic Games Store right now: Shadow of the Tomb Raider.

Shadow of the Tomb Raider is the final instalment in the Tomb Raider reboot trilogy. Released back in 2018, the game sees Lara Croft race to stop a Mayan apocalypse, battling the Trinity paramilitary organisation along the way. Personally, I think it’s the best title in the trilogy and is well worth your time. If you’re into horror, it’s also got quite a few creepy sequences. I’ll say no more.

The game is currently free to download on the Epic Games Store for all PC users. That’s what you call a bargain. Shadow of the Tomb Raider is free until 8 September at 4PM so don’t hesitate as you only have about 24 hours left to grab this steal.
That’s not all. Submerged: Hidden Depths is also free to grab for the same amount of time. The game is a “non-combat third-person ‘relaxploration’ adventure, set in the sunken ruins of a beautiful world.” Sounds like the perfect game to balance out the intensity of Shadow of the Tomb Raider. What a duo.
