Most of the time, the internet is a terrifying hellhole where people loudly share their terrible opinions and hurl insults at one another. It's enough to make anyone wonder why we bother spending any time on it. But every now and again, the internet spews out something genuinely wholesome and sweet that reminds us all that, actually, people don't completely suck.

Take the recent "#WeLovePedroPascal" hashtag that was doing the rounds on social media. Twitter, so often a venue for complaining about every little thing, was momentarily lit up with love for The Mandalorian star. Tributes ranged to his portrayal of Din Djarin in the Star Wars show to his upcoming role as Joel in HBO's The Last Of Us. There are even a handful of deeply personal accounts of how the way Pascal conducts himself in public and pushes for equality and acceptance has saved people from some seriously dark places.

Let's take a look, shall we?

The best part of this Pedro/internet love-in? The actor was alerted to the hashtag and responded in the sweetest possible way:

Yep, everybody loves Pedro Pascal. Let's just hope we don't have to watch him go through a series of horrifying ordeals in a live-action adaptation of The Last Of - oh. Well, never mind.
