The cat... Okay, I guess the dog, is out of the bag. Ubisoft's Watch Dogs: Legion, set in a near-future London under the rule of a private security force, will be released on October 29th for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC (Uplay, Epic Games Store). Next-gen versions for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X are also on the cards.
We've got a lot of Watch Dogs: Legion content running around the game's release date reveal at today's Ubisoft Forward digital event (today being July 12th, for those living in the future). So be sure to keep your peepers open for that, because we've played a healthy chunk of the third Watch Dogs game, and we're pretty impressed.

To get an idea of how detailed this game's open-world London is, one of our team was able to drive to his own flat. Which is kind of wild, no? (Yes. Yes, it is.) In it, London is very much in the grip of Albion, which has turned the city into a surveillance state. And you just know the series' hacking outfit, DedSec, isn't going to stand for that.
You can recruit all manner of Londoners to the DedSec cause, from workmen to drone experts to grannies bearing arms. That's a very strong selling point, no doubt - but I'd be lying if the city of London itself isn't getting me excited, here. It's been too long since we had an open-world game set in the English capital.

Watch Dogs: Legion is being directed by Clint Hocking, the creative driving force behind a previous Ubisoft classic, Far Cry 2. So fingers crossed that this one is going to have a story worthy of its impressively detailed setting. Will every character in the game sound like Dick Van Dyke? Would that be so bad?
