There are more than a handful of fans who are into the original generation of Pokémon. So numerous are people's tattoos of them, that getting yourself something original based on the ball bound beasties can be difficult.

That's why one tattoo parlour in New York decided to take the decision out of its client's hands. At OmenInk there are gumball machines filled with pictures of the original 151, and for the low, low price of $150 you can try your hand on the wheel of turn-based battling fortune. The studio aren't complete monsters (pun absolutely intended), if you end up with something underwhelming like a Goldeen or a Muk, you can reroll your choice for an extra $50. However, upon seeing some other people's results it could be that you might not want to.

Want to see the fruits of the gumball gamble for yourself? Then take a look at the ingenious designs in our video below.

You see, even if you aren't Weedle's number one fan boy, the artists at the studio take pride in their work. The images based on our critters for capture are so striking that you might just raise your flag in honour of our boy Rattata after seeing the work they come up with. Each tattoo comes with an original pose, background, and props suited to that specific 'mon.

What's best of all about the tatts, outside of the impeccable artistry, is the individuality of each piece. Once a Pokémon has been pulled from the slot lottery, and not discarded like yesterday's gone off Krabby, it gets crossed off the board never to be released again. This means that you won't see another design like yours out there - it's a complete one of a kind.

Quite a few of the Pokémon have already been picked up, so you will have to be quick if you wanna tatt 'em all.
