Who among us doesn't enjoy a bit of thievery in Skyrim? Even the most honest heroes can probably admit to having tosses aside their ebony armour to briefly throw their lot in with the Thieves Guild and rob the people of Riften of everything they own.
Certainly, as someone who has put hundreds of hours into Skyrim, one of my favourite things left to do is lockpick my way into some poor soul's house and pick 'em clean. I don't even need the gold - I own several houses across the province. I just do it for the thrill, baby.
That's why I was incredibly excited to learn that there's a new multiplayer burglary game on the way that's partly inspired by the thieve system in the classic Bethesda RPG... just with more gadgets and plenty more laughs. It's called The Break-In, and you can check it out in action below.
"The Break-In is a 1-4 player online co-op burglary game about sneaking in, taking everything, and then sneaking out. Infiltrate houses, bank vaults and museums to earn money and upgrade your thief gear," reads the game's description on Steam.

Players need to work together to infiltrate houses, museums, and bank vaults using a series of gadgets and strategies, all while avoiding detection. As with any multiplayer game, it very much looks like the brunt of the hilarity will come from the friends you play with and the mistakes you make along the way. With procedurally generated levels ensuring no two runs are ever quite the same, expect to make a lot of mistakes.
Developer Oliver Josh has been working on The Break-In in fits and starts over the last year or so, but recently confirmed he's been able to turn his attention to the project full time. There's no set release date on Steam just yet, but I'm hoping we'll be able to get our hands on it very soon. The Break-In looks like it has all the makings of a classic party game.
