We’re on the final countdown to FIFA 23. The game is set to release on 27 September, marking the end of an era. The FIFA franchise will soon be reborn as EA Sports FC. Some fans have already got their hands on the game due to a very lucky glitch, whilst others were able to nab the Ultimate Edition for just six cents. It’s not all good news though as this latest leak seems to confirm fears over Ronaldo’s new stats.

Check out the trailer for FIFA 23 below.

Over the past few weeks, there has been a steady stream of leaked player ratings which is not so great for EA, but pretty nice for fans who want to plan their FUT ahead of time. The latest leak though shows that Manchester United’s Cristiano Ronaldo has been nerfed which, to state the obvious, is bad news.

As reported by Gamesradar, Ronaldo’s pace has been downgraded from 87 to just 81, whilst his overall score has dropped from 91 to 90. Really, we shouldn’t be too surprised. Ronaldo is 37 years old now and an overall score drop of one isn’t terrible for a, how do I say this, aging player. I’m sure plenty of fans will still have Ronaldo on their team.

Ronaldo seems to have unintentionally nerfed himself in real life though too. In the 2021-2022 season, he scored 18 goals in 30 matches, which is a decent chunk less than the 29 and 31 goals scored in 33 matches of his two previous seasons - so I guess the new rating has a point.
