2020's Rubbish Fast And Furious Game Is Being Pulled From Sale

It's been announced that Fast & Furious Crossroads, which was received very poorly at release, will stop being sold as of next month.

Dear reader, I’m so sorry, but I have some terrible news for you. No, it’s not the fact that an incredibly bad game is being pulled from all storefronts - I’m just afraid that for the next minute or so, you’re going to be reminded that it actually exists. It had to be done, and I can only apologise.

You know, despite the world descending into chaos for very obvious reasons in 2020, it was a pretty excellent year for video games. From The Last of Us Part II to Spider-Man: Miles Morales and Animal Crossing: New Horizons, there were some pretty stellar releases. Fast & Furious Crossroads was not one of them.

Witness Fast & Furious Crossroads in all its glory in the reveal trailer below.

Earning acclaim on Metacritic such as “this is a disgrace to the gaming community. An absolute disgusting piece of ****,” and “this game is an embarrassing pile of garbage”, it’s safe to say that there weren’t many big fans of the supposed “epic new chapter in the Fast & Furious saga”. Obviously, that translated to sales, too, because it’s now been announced that the game will be vanishing into the abyss as of next month, not even two years after its release.

As reported by VGC, an update on the official website says that “all product sales will end” on 29 April 2022, at around 4am CEST (3am UK time). If, for some reason, you are an avid fan of the game (I won’t judge you but I am perplexed), fear not: “If you bought the game digitally it will remain in your library and can be redownloaded in the future,” the statement reads. It also adds that any DLC bought before 29 April will remain functional in the future, and that the online modes will carry on working, too.

In case you weren’t aware, the game features some of the stars of the movie series - Vin Diesel, Tyrese Gibson and Michelle Rodriguez are all included, taking on their roles of Dom, Roman and Letty. If you’re a Fast & Furious fan, that’s arguably the only thing that Crossroads has going for it, but if you really want to bag this one for your library before it disappears, you’ve got until the end of next month to do so.
