Fans Think A Fantastic Four Game Is Coming, And With Good Reason

A new tease from Marvel suggests that a Fantastic Four game could be on the way.

If you don’t know the name Amy Hennig, you’ll certainly know her work. Hennig is the mastermind behind much of the Uncharted series, writing and directing the first three games. She’s currently working on a couple of major projects including a Star Wars game alongside Lucasfilm, Square Enix’s upcoming Forspoken, and a new action-adventure Marvel game - and fans think they’ve worked out what that Marvel game could be.

Speaking of Marvel, check out the trailer for She-Hulk: Attorney At Law ahead of the series’ premiere tomorrow.

Originally, fans thought that perhaps a Daredevil game might be on the way but a new tease from Marvel suggests otherwise. In case you missed it, Disney and Marvel will soon be holding their first ever games showcase - on 9 September to be exact - and whilst announcing the showcase, Marvel teased that “a sneak peek at the upcoming Marvel ensemble game from Skydance New Media” would be shown.

Ensemble? Interesting. This seems to confirm another fan theory which suggests that Hennig’s game could be based on the Fantastic Four. As reported by GamesRadar, filmmaker Kevin Smith previously teased in his Fatman Beyond podcast that he knew what the ensemble game was about and that most people had guessed correctly. The most popular guess was none other than Fantastic Four.

The IP is experiencing somewhat of a renaissance. Reed Richards popped up in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness and we know a full Fantastic Four film is on the way from Marvel in 2024. Given that the showcase is mere weeks away, Hennig’s project should be unveiled soon.
