I feel like everyone owns these games by now, but if you don’t, you can claim the Fallout Collection for free on the Epic Games Store right now.

You don’t need a subscription, you just need an account that is free to set up and you can claim the offer right away.

The Fallout Collection contains the first three Fallout games, Fallout, Fallout 2, and Fallout Tactics: Brotherhood of Steel.

These were the initial forays into the wastelands which were swiftly followed by 3D RPGs made by Bethesda.

They’re very different to the modern releases as they play from an isometric perspective and require more tactical thinking, rather than action sequences.

This doesn’t take away from the fact that they’re great fun and filled with some brilliant stories and original dialogue moments that build the lore of the franchise.

This collection has been free in the past, so if you missed it then, you have another shot to add it to your collection.

Discussing the collection on Reddit, depressedowl said, “They are all great games. The worst is probably Brotherhood of Steel. but they're all worth it.”

According to others on Reddit, even if you own the games separately you can claim this collection and they will overwrite your old games, while keeping the save files.

“I already had all the games in the collection, but it let me claim the collection too,” said MCHopie after they grabbed the deal.

If you’ve wanted to get into the roots of the Fallout franchise - particularly if you loved the Fallout TV show from Amazon Prime - this is a great way to do it.

While the old interface is a bit clunky by modern standards, there’s a goldmine of wonderful moments to be had.

If you love what you experience here as a newcomer, then you’ll love the jump to 3D with Fallout 3, as well.
