Elden Ring meets Pokémon in brilliant free download

Elden Ring will see you come up against all manner of creatures; both monster and human but what if you could summon them to your aid once you had defeated them? That was seemingly the thoughts of one creator courtesy of this free download.

It is common knowledge that Elden Ring was created to ruin lives. If you are not crying whilst playing the FromSoftware game, you are not playing it right and that was even more obvious upon the recent release of its Shadow of the Erdtree DLC.

Upon killing a boss, the creature will disappear from existence and although some players are calling out for bosses to be replayable, one modder has found a different use for them after their demise.

The DLC Summon Bosses Mod is a brand-new mod by FlippantTunic22 over on Nexus Mods.

“This mod includes 11 bosses of the Elden Ring DLC, Shadow of the Erdtree to be summoned in as spirit ashes and has all of the stages included”, the synopsis reads.

That’s right. Players will gain the ability to save the “spirit’ of the foes they have vanquished and release them during combat to help aid them. Other than whipping out a Poké Ball, this is the closest you can get to Pokémon in Elden Ring.

As mentioned, you will be able to summon any of the 11 bosses from Shadow of the Erdtree including Putrescent Knight, Romina, Saint Of The Bud, Commander Gaius and even Messmer the Impaler himself.

Much like the summons already in the game, they can be unleashed in battle and will help you defeat your foe and not to mention, it will be pretty cool to hang out with Messmer when he’s not trying to delete your entire existence.
