Earlier this year, Techland released the chungus that is Dying Light 2. I say chungus because the developers revealed that it could take completionists 500 hours to explore every nook and cranny the game has to offer. On top of that, Techland also committed to releasing five years of DLC - as if Dying Light 2 players aren’t busy enough. Well, the first single-player DLC has now officially been unveiled.

Check out the brand new trailer for Dying Light 2 Stay Human: Bloody Ties below.

The Bloody Ties DLC was revealed during last night’s Opening Night Live showcase at Gamescom, and is scheduled to release on 13 October on PC, PlayStation and Xbox. Bloody Ties will be set in a brand new area of Villedor known as The Carnage Hall. The opera house has become somewhat of a gladiator ring, where participants can compete for riches.

Players will be able to compete in a number of challenges, including facing off against the new villain Skullface. The DLC will also include new gear and weapons for you to utilise. Chronologically, Bloody Ties is set prior to the ending of the main story in Dying Light 2.

Describing the DLC, Techland wrote, “Players will embark on a new story adventure, you will reach the epicentre of death, wealth and absolute splendour in a stunning location; The Carnage Hall. This old opera building is full of challenges and quests, surprising new weapon types, character interactions, and discoveries to uncover.” If you get your pre-order in, you’ll also get access to the Aristocrat Pack which includes an exclusive weapon and outfit. Nice.
