Exciting news, chooms. As many of us expected, more content is soon set to arrive in Cyberpunk 2077.

It’s already been a big month for CD Projekt RED’s gritty, futuristic franchise.

Cyberpunk 2077: Ultimate Edition is now available to enjoy on the Nintendo Switch 2, allowing fans to explore Night City on the go.

Yesterday though, CDPR also unveiled that the game will soon be receiving a major update across all platforms.

Yes, Update 2.3 will be coming to Cyberpunk 2077 later this month, on 26 June to be exact.

I’d assume the update has been produced alongside third-party developer Virtuos who assisted on the previous Update 2.2.

It hasn’t been unveiled just yet what the update entails, but it’s been teased that it’ll include several new side quests.

CDPR’s Paweł Sasko took to Twitter to provide fans with a brief update.

“Yes, 2.3 for Cyberpunk 2077 is coming, we have been cooking for you in secret for a bit,” he wrote.

“As usual, I'm taking care of the update personally and we will communicate more, when it's ready. Much love chooms.”

I’m imagining that the studio may hold another RedStream when it’s time to dig into the update.

Despite the mystery surrounding the update, fans of Cyberpunk 2077 are already positively hyped.

“You guys are freaking incredible man. Just awesome. My comfort game that I’ll be returning to for years to come,” wrote Twitter user Fuzzy_Reasoning.

“Looks like I’m gonna hold off finishing this playthrough for a bit,” added hollywoodx95.

What a week it’s been huh? Between this, the State of Play, The Witcher 4’s tech demo, and the launch of the Nintendo Switch 2, we’re being positively spoiled.

Don’t forget that Summer Game Fest airs later today with the Xbox Showcase to be held this Sunday.

We’ll be bringing you live news updates on both as video game Christmas continues to deliver.
