It is official. Cyberpunk 2077 will be welcoming yet another update later this month and fans have been speculating as to what this one may include.

Despite CD Projekt RED claiming that it would no longer be supporting Cyberpunk 2077 in favour of turning its attention to development on a sequel, The Witcher 4 and a handful of other projects, it seems as though that was a bit of a lie.

Not only did CDPR work together with Virtuos to bring us Cyberpunk 2077 Update 2.2 but it has recently revealed that the studios will be coming together again for Update 2.3.

Expected to launch at the end of June, we don’t yet know anything about what this next update will feature but if it is anything like Update 2.2, fans are in for a treat.

The previous update introduced 100s of new cosmetics, an improved photo mode, and customisation for vehicles, to name but a few features.

However, fans are hoping that the next update will focus more on Lifepaths which many complain do not play a large enough part in the story of Cyberpunk 2077.

At the start of a playthrough, players are able to select a Lifepath ranging from Corpo, Streetkid, and Nomad.

These will decide V’s background leading up to the events of Cyberpunk 2077 but other than offering a few unique dialogue options, they don’t make too much of a difference to gameplay.

That is why user NPO1 over on r/cyberpunkgame is hoping that Update 2.3 will focus on this.

“My personal wish is to make new quests based on Lifepaths,” they revealed recently.

“I'm pretty sure that was cut content.

If they also added new quests for each romance partner, we'd end up with a much more fleshed-out story overall.”

The comments were soon filled with fans revealing what they would like to see in the new update. This includes: a New Game Plus option, more cybernetic cosmetics, new missions, a survival mode and one user really seems to want more penis options.

Regardless of what CDPR and Virtuos has been working on, there is no doubt that millions of players will be heading back to Night City with the launch of Cyberpunk 2077’s 2.3 Update later this month.
