A new Cyberpunk 2077 competition has teased “some seriously awesome prizes”.

Earlier this week, CD Projekt Red launched the latest patch for Cyberpunk 2077, update 2.3. The free update includes new vehicles, new quests, and graphical improvements.

Another feature of the patch that the developer was sure to big up are the huge changes to Photo Mode, which gives players a lot more control over how to compose their shots.

To celebrate this patch, CD Projekt Red is holding a competition for Photo Mode enthusiasts to create the best shot of V and their vehicle in Cyberpunk 2077.

“With the Update 2.3 rolled out, you’ve got a whole new toolbox to express yourself,” writes CD Projekt Red about the competition, which is titled You Are What You Drive.

“New vehicles. New customization options. Poses. Some of Night City’s most legendary NPCs joining your shot.

“Now, it’s your turn to hit the streets and show us you. Your mission is simple, choom — the perfect shot. Create a photo in which your V and a vehicle form a stylistic unity.”

Participants are encouraged to “Get creative with the new vehicles, customization tools, poses and NPCs,” and “Make sure your shot expresses you — visually and emotionally.”

Five winning shots will be revealed publicly in August, and the winners will “score some seriously awesome prizes.”

The prizes are as follows:

  • Black Cyberpunk 2077 bag
  • Cyberpunk 2077 Collector’s edition figurine
  • Cyberpunk 2077 puzzles
  • Cyberpunk 2077 Artbook
  • Cyberpunk 2077 random keychain
  • Cyberpunk 2077 Patches pack
  • Cyberpunk 2077: Kickdown #2 (Dark Horse)

Of course, there are a few rules to ensure everything stays fair. Players can only use the in-game Photo Mode for their submissions, and can’t edit using external software like Photoshop. They also can’t submit more than one entry.

You’ve got time to play around with the new Photo Mode features and submit your entry to the competition, as CD Projekt Red has stated it will end on 11th August, 2025 at 11:59PM CEST.
