Cyberpunk 2077 fans want The Boys' Karl Urban to star in the sequel

That's some stellar dream casting

We all love a bit of dream casting when it comes to putting celebrities into our games. With recent talk of a Cyberpunk 2077 sequel beginning to cook over at CD Projekt Red, fans are debating who could play the iconic Morgan Blackhand.

And they’re throwing Karl Urban into the mix. A very good choice if you ask me. Karl Urban is one of the most versatile actors and a man who is no stranger to pop culture appearances given his roles in Thor, The Boys, Dredd, Lord of the Rings, and Star Trek.

With the celebration of Cyberpunk 2077 since its DLC launch, the sequel is looking good

The chatter started over on Reddit and fans are strongly in agreement - pay attention CD Projekt Red. The thread, started by u/Seccion31 hails Urban as “one of the best actors to choose” and the replies are popping off, as the kids say. Of course, many of them featured plenty of cursing, as Urban is often found doing in The Boys. Of course, we won’t mention those here, but you can bet the word ‘diabolical’ was uttered a lot too.

“I feel like the energy he has in Dredd could really deliver as Morgan Blackhand” says one user, while another responds “Hell yeah, Urban's a damn good actor and he 100% looks the part.” The positive comments keep rolling in with “Karl Urban is a fantastic actor, and he would kill any role you put him in.”

Karl Urban has become a powerhouse actor who can seemingly morph into any image, adapting himself in myriad ways to deliver a knockout performance. He’s one of the best character actors doing it today and given the mature nature of the Cyberpunk universe and games, he’d likely jump at the chance to curse up a storm. So, yes, please CD Projekt Red, can we get a hotline set up with Mr Urban for the Cyberpunk 2077 sequel?
